Gymnastics Clubs
I have been a dedicated and qualified Welfare Officer for a British Gymnastics Club for the last 4 years as well as fulfilling other roles such as Health & Safety officer and Administrator for even longer. I keep up to date with the latest news and policies and ensure that my knowledge reflects British Gymnastics own policies
Welfare Officer
With my experience as a welfare officer, I am able to offer several solutions that can help you run your club more efficiently.
Firstly, I can work remotely as a welfare officer for your gymnastics club. This would involve sharing information about your members and coaches, participating in calls (including video calls) to discuss any issues that arise.
Secondly, I can work on individual issues supporting your own coaches or welfare officers
Thirdly, I can work as an advisor to audit your processes and advise you of any areas where improvement is needed.
Finally, I am happy to host staff meetings to train or update the knowledge of your coaching team.

Health and Safety
It is vitally important that you consider the potential dangers that are surrounding both your physical space and equipment.
I can offer risk assessments as well as policy writing and reviewing your current documents or practices.
Administration
As an experienced administrator I know just how hard you need to work behind the scenes to run a successful club whilst juggling with the work/life balance.
I can work as your administrator remotely, and take care of the many tasks that pop up during the day.
I have quite a lot of experience in monitoring and ensuring that all of the gymnasts have the appropriate membership of British Gymnastics and thereby being covered by the British Gymnastics insurance policy.

Financial Recovery Administrator
I know how difficult it can be chasing parents and carers for outstanding fees or outstanding membership of British Gymnastics.
By engaging someone specifically to chase outstanding payments, it allows you to put a professional distance between you and the debtors.
I am always incredibly polite and understanding of personal circumstances, whilst still ensuring that payment is made. I do this through an increasing level of firmness, and consequences, where required. I always share the content of emails before sending so that you are aware of what is being sent to your customers.
Competitions
Best practice for attending gymnastics competitions is to ensure that you have a written risk assessment to ensure that you are fully aware of any risks to your students or staff. I can offer a risk assessment template that you can just update with any details specific to that competition or venue.
Travelling to the competition as a club? A risk assessment for either traveling by coach or public transport is a must have in case of accidents or emergencies.
Running your own inhouse competition? If you are charging parents an entry fee you are legally required to obtain a Body of Persons Approval from your local council as it is classed as a performance. I can arrange all of the necessary paperwork and submit the documents necessary freeing up your time to plan your day.

Gymnasts with Additional Needs
I have many years of experience in working and supporting children with differing levels of additional needs including physical needs, medical needs and have experience of raising a neurodiverse child.
I can plan and discuss ways to support your gymnasts that focus on good communication and understanding both the specific needs of a particular child and a more general awareness of inclusive practices. I can also provide or signpost you to resources that can make running your club truly inclusive for all.
Communicating and collaborating with their parents is a key part of this as they know their child best.
